Dr. Lisa Kiser is a Clinical Associate Professor who has been on faculty at the University of Arizona since 2011. Dr. Kiser is a native Tucsonan who is dedicated to supporting the mission and vision of the University of Arizona as a land-grant institution and a Hispanic Serving Institute. The focus of her clinical work is health equity, and she currently works as a women’s health nurse practitioner at United Community Health Center. Dr. Kiser is also an active volunteer at the Clinica Amistad community free clinic, and she precepts undergraduate and graduate nursing students at all the locations where she works and volunteers. Dr. Kiser is one of the founding faculty in the University of Arizona’s midwifery program and she has helped create multiple courses in global and border health. Dr. Kiser’s vision for education in the health sciences is that students are directly engaged in responding to the urgent health issues facing our nation and the world as a critical part of their educational experience.
